50-Year-Old Russian Police Officer Gets Life Sentence For defiling And Killing 22 s*x Workers To Clean The Streets Of Prostitute

 A police officer admitted to defiling and killing prostitutes in his squad car. Odd News Blog reports:

50-year-old Mikhail Popkov of Russia, admitted to defiling and killing 22 women by luring them into his police car. He brutally killed the women by using a number of different weapons, including axes, knives and screwdrivers, before defiling their bodies.

Popkov targeted s*x workers and said that his motive was to cleanse his hometown of Angarsk from prostitutes. Despite the fact that he pleaded guilty and being sentenced to life in prison, his 48-year-old wife said that she still loves him.“We have been married for 28 years. If I suspected that he did something wrong, I would have divorced him,” Elena Popkov said.

“I support him, I believe him. If he were to be released right now, I would continue to live with him,” she added. Popkov maintained his innocence to his wife and daughter. According to his wife, Popkov told her and their daughter Katya: “you understand that all these allegations are fairy tales. It is the system and I have worked within it.”  His wife and daughter believe him and stand by him despite the fact that he will spend the rest of his life behind bars.
